Bright’s Choice Cage continues to be the standard in the industry. Manufactured with Bird PROTECTION PLUS (+) Safety features built in. Today’s cage is the result of utilizing our experience since 1951 in building live poultry transport cages. Bright’s Choice cage is a notch above the rest.
Doors
The “Double Hollow” high strength aluminum doors are fitted with galvanized angles. The angles are riveted in place with “Huck” high strength rivets. Our “No hang bird” brackets along with the door rod location prevent bird damage while unloading at the processing plant. All Bright’s door hardware is stainless or galvanized steel for durability.
Floors
The Bright Choice cage comes standard with our green fiberglass composite floor engineered to provide durability, as well as easy cleaning and maintenance. We also have an option for a heavy duty floor, please see our options section.
Nesting
4 on the top (2 at each end) assures alignment and helps reduce cage shifting during transport
Fork tubes
3″ x 8″ x 11 ga. with 3″ x 3″ inserts welded into fork tubes for added strength. Up to 3 slots are available at the customer’s request for easy litter clean out.
Partitions
Top of partitions are welded to floor joist for added structural strength; Vertical partitions are standard at bottom and top on cage ends. Horizontal partitions are still available on request.
Bumper Plates
Our one piece bumper plates with a galvanized wire partition are Bright’s exclusive design to protect the birds against forklift fork damage while reinforcing structural integrity. For more ways to customize your cage, please see options below.
Safety
We have specifically designed our hook pocket to be located at the bottom of the cage, attached to the cage base and bumper plate. This will lower the hook placement and provide an attaching point for securing your cages.
All cage Securement devices are tested and rated at 3,000 lb Working Load Limit.
Frame
All front uprights are structural tubing: 1-1/2″ x 2″ x .120 wall thickness.
Top
A 20 gauge (.036) thick solid steel top covers from tubing to tubing is recessed for longer life.
Finish
Hot dip galvanized in Prime Western Zinc; 5-year guarantee against rust-out and Bright Coop’s Famous Fit and Finish protects your cage and its cargo for years to come.
Options
Fork Tube
- 3″ x 8″ x 3/16″ with inserts (adds approx. 75 lbs.)
- Up to three clean-out slots per fork tube to reduce weight and help prevent litter accumulation. This feature also allows for easier clean out.
Flooring
- Premium green ARMT “ARMORTUF” fiberglass floors. (The predominant floor on the market.)
Floor Hold Downs
- Additional floor hold downs may be added
Partitions
- Horizontal partitions in lieu of vertical along the body of the cage

Bumper Plates
